Most co-pay scheme users under-spent

The government's Khon La Khrueng Plus co-payment scheme has officially ended, with more than 9.21 million participants fully using their allotted benefits, while over 10.5 million users did not redeem their full quotas.

Spending under the scheme reached 84.18 billion baht, contributing to an estimated 0.2% boost to economic growth, said the Finance Ministry.
Pongnakorn Pochakorn, director of the Fiscal Policy Office's Financial System Development Policy Division and assistant spokesman for the Finance Ministry, yesterday released preliminary figures on spending under the scheme, which concluded at 11pm on Wednesday.
