Ministers urged to focus on quick-win economic policies

Executives are calling on the new government to prioritise policies that ease public hardship and drive economic growth, while forming a skilled negotiations team to ensure the country is not at a disadvantage in trade talks.

Pawan Nawawattanasub, chief executive of YLG Bullion International, said the government should continue to foster international trade cooperation and avoid conflicts that could harm the economy.

She highlighted the importance of consistently supporting the tourism sector as a key driver of growth, while strengthening all aspects of the economy.

"In terms of foreign relations, we must negotiate effectively to avoid being put at a disadvantage," said Mrs Pawan.

"Quick-win policies that stimulate the economy should continue, and hopefully domestic conflicts will subside, especially those that may harm the tourism industry."
