Govt launches tracker app for caregivers for the elderly

The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) has introduced “Nirun for Community”, a digital platform designed to assist caregivers of elderly individuals in managing care through streamlined data collection and personalised planning.

Developed in partnership with the Department of Older Persons under the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the software aims to reduce paperwork, improve work efficiency and ensure no elderly person is left unattended.

Accessible via the Line app, it enables caregivers to log daily activities, assess seniors' ability to perform daily tasks through a questionnaire and generate individual care plans. It also provides a checklist of government welfare benefits, with an automatic referral system for those not yet registered.
