The Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) has indicted China Railway No.10 (Thailand) Co and four individuals linked to the firm for illegally operating a construction business in Thailand.
The firm — along with Italian-Thai Development Plc (ITD) — formed a consortium that won the contract to build the State Audit Office (SAO) headquarters in Bangkok’s Chatuchak district, which collapsed during the earthquake on March 28 that killed 89 people and injured nine others at the site. Seven workers remain unaccounted for.
According to OAG spokesman Sakkasem Nisaiyok, the indictments were approved by the Special Cases Division following an investigation by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI).
