Delegation reaches out to Thai firms in US

Ms Sunanta (left), Mrs Suphajee (centre) and Mr Pornvit. During the talks held on Monday, Mrs Suphajee inquired about business opportunities, the competitive advantages of Thai products, and forms of cooperation desired by the private sector.
Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun met with major Thai businesses in the US to discuss their needs and recommendations on how Thailand should respond to President Donald Trump's tariffs and improve the competitiveness of Thai products in the US market.
On Monday, Mrs Suphajee led senior Commerce Ministry officials including Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, directorgeneral of the Department of International Trade Promotion, Pornvit Silaon, deputy director-general of the Department of International Trade Promotion, and Niwat Hansaward, director of the Thai Trade Centre in Los Angeles, to meet with top executives of major Thai companies operating in the US.
