Claims of ID fraud made against Phra Alongkot

The National Office of Buddhism (NOB) will renew its investigation into the identity of Phra Alongkot, former abbot of Wat Phrabat Namphu, following public concerns over discrepancies in his personal records.
NOB director Inthaporn Chan-Eam yesterday gave an interview regarding public doubts about the surname on the ID card of Phra Alongkot, which matched that of a dead man. He said the matter is under investigation.
