Thousands of protesters gathered at Victory Monument demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra over the controversy surrounding the leaked audio clip of her conversation with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen.

Security was tight, with 2,000 police deployed to maintain order and ensure the safety of both demonstrators and the public. The demonstration is being organised by the United Power of the Land to Protect Sovereignty group.

Police estimated around 10,000 demonstrators gathered at the monument while Anchalee Paireerak, an MC of the group, claimed at least 35,000 people had joined the demonstration as of press time.

From early morning, people from various provinces arrived to secure spots near the monument. The area was prepared with coordination points, refreshment distribution stations, and convenience areas. Vendors also set up stalls along the perimeter, selling food, drinks, and merchandise. A large public address system and multiple projector screens were installed around the main stage, which had been set up the day before.
