Aviation pact to create centralised data centre
Bangkok Post
|December 05, 2025
Big Data Institute (BDI) has partnered with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) to develop a centralised aviation data centre on the institute's Travel Link platform.
The move aims to utilise data to strengthen the aviation industry, systematically collecting and integrating all air transport information, said Tiranee Achalakul, president of the BDI.
Both parties plan to prioritise knowledge exchange, data exchange standards, and discussions on related issues to promote the development of high-quality datasets to support the growth of the tourism industry and enhance the potential of the national air transport system, she said.
The collaboration was forged via a memorandum of understanding on an air transport data integration and analysis project, Ms Tiranee said.
