Anutin 'ready' to defend 1.5-month-old tenure

The Bhumjaithai Party has voiced confidence ahead of a potential no-confidence motion from Pheu Thai, insisting Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s one-and-a-half-month-old administration has been effective in tackling the nation’s woes.

Nan Boonthida Somchai, spokeswoman for Bhumjaithai, said yesterday her party is ready to respond to Pheu Thai’s upcoming no-confidence motion.

She said Mr Anutin has no concerns regarding the matter, adding he views the move as well within the Pheu Thai Party's rights. The PM believes his time in office has not caused any damage to the country, contrary to what critics believe. His early actions, particularly on the economic front, have been positively received by entrepreneurs, she said.
