Royle guest bows down to 'great' people of Airdrie

The red carpet was rolled out for a special Royle guest in Airdrie - who bowed down to the quality of cuisine at a restaurant in the town.

Ricky Tomlinson was brought to Airdrie Working Men's Club for a discussion of his memorable career by local radio presenter Ross Owen.

Ricky also took the time to sample a slap-up meal at the Hartys @ The Fourways restaurant after the show - and enjoyed the food so much he returned the next day.

An Evening With Ricky Tomlinson was hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Asa Murphy and featured Ricky “in conversation about his life and career”.
