In a dedicated effort to reintroduce traditional and fading culinary heritage into the modern diet, SRISTI (Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technologies and Institutions) organised a unique 'Forgotten Recipes' competition on its campus on Wednesday.
The event was aimed at bringing back nutritious dishes that are slowly disappearing from palates. While contemporary diets are largely restricted to wheat, rice, and maize, this competition encouraged a shift toward dietary diversity.
