An elderly couple had accused the suspended cop and three others of extorting Rs 12K, $400 and three bottles of liquor despite having a valid liquor permit; couple shy away from filing FIR

The city police have swung into action amid allegations of extortion by cops, levelled by an elderly couple who were returning from their trip to Vietnam.
Following the reports in newspapers, Head Constable Khumansinh Danabhai, serving at the Ramol police station, was suspended.
However, the identity of his three accomplices remains a mystery as the police press release mentions only one name.
