Class 10 students go easy with math

Only 7.21% opt for Standard Maths; rest prefer easier Basic Maths; trend reflects in figures of last 3 yrs
Call it a mathematics phobia or a safe bet to improve scores; increasingly, Class 10 students in the state are opting for Basic Mathematics, which is easier than Standard Mathematics.
Registration figures shared by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) highlight that just 7.21 per cent students in Class 10 have opted for Standard Math (advanced) this year.
