A heart-wrenching story of neglect and abuse has emerged, where a 17-year-old girl, adopted at the age of seven, was abandoned by her adoptive parents after the death of their elder family members. The couple, residing in an affluent area of the city, had been childless for years and adopted the girl under pressure from their own parents. Initially, the child received care and affection, but this changed drastically after the death of the grandparents. The adoptive parents sent her to a government hostel, refusing to welcome her home even during holidays
