HESTERFIELD are a staggering 19 points clear at the National League summit after sweeping aside Eastleigh, who played the entire second half with ten men after top scorer Paul McCallum was sent off.
James Berry's third strike in four matches and two late goals inside 90 seconds by Liam Mandeville and Will Grigg swept the Spirites to a fifth straight league win.
Chris Maguire bagged a penalty spot consolation goal for Eastleigh, who have lost touch with a potential play-off challenge after taking only two points from their last six matches.
"These were a big three points and those scores made it a more or less perfect day for us," said Spireites assistant manager Danny Webb. "The lads deserve to put their feet up and relax after that win.
