GARY Johnson will be leading Torquay United’s attempts to bounce back from the National League South at the first attempt after their relegation was confirmed with a draw against National League champions Wrexham.
The Gulls more than matched the Red Dragons as Frank Nouble gave United the lead before Elliot Lee’s equaliser ensured that United will be returning to the division which they won under Johnson in 2018-19, and they will now be looking to repeat that feat.
“I’ve spoken to George (George Edwards, chief executive) and he wants to keep the continuity and I want to keep the continuity,” said Johnson. “I want get this club back to where it deserves to be – so love me or hate me you’ve got me and I’ll give everything for this club.
