India at a Defining Crossroads
As the world's most populous nation and one of its fastest-growing economies, India stands at a decisive moment in its development trajectory. Rapid industrialization has fuelled prosperity but also intensified pressure on natural resources and ecosystems. How we manage water, waste, and energy today will define the sustainability and resilience of our cities tomorrow. These challenges are driving a nationwide shift towards strategic technological innovation and policy reform, positioning India as a frontrunner in sustainable growth.
An Escalating Water and Waste Crisis
Water scarcity represents one of India's most pressing challenges. Around 600 million citizens¹ face high to extreme water stress, and roughly 35 million still lack access to safe drinking water.
