Book exhibiting the relationship of Sikhs & Modi released

Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the last nine years has become closely linked with the community through his various initiatives, one of the most important being opening of the Kartarpur Corridor.

“When Kartarpur Corridor was opened it was a historic and courageous step by the Hon’ble PM as it fulfilled a deep-seated desire of the Sikh community since partition to be allowed to pay “ardas” at the gurdwara without requiring visas. Today 5000 pilgrims daily are able to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib,” states author Dr Prabhleen Singh, explaining what motivated his sixth book ‘Sikhs and Modi, A Journey of 9 years’. “Many other important steps and decisions were taken by the Hon’ble PM towards fulfilling several other long pending demands of the Sikh community. All these decisions have also helped to highlight the Sikh community’s contribution not only in India but globally.”
