Tracy Anderson Has Very Specific Thoughts About Water
New York magazine
|The Cut Special Issue - Fall 2025
Plus dozens of other ways she stays glowing at 50.
Women dedicate tens of thousands of dollars a year to achieving the “Tracy Anderson body,” or “lean curves in the right places,” as the celebrity fitness instructor puts it. Now, she’s learning to live with aging. “I see a lot of people doing a lot of injections and getting a lot of beautiful face-lifts,” Anderson says, but she's holding out—at least for now. “We've been dysfunctionally programmed to judge beauty. I'm really tired of hearing about jowls,” she says. Here, the beauty regimen she swears by.
A.M. Routine I wake up at seven. I'm very fortunate to live in different beautiful places. Right now, my view in the morning is these giant windows that look out on the mountains of Big Sky Country in Montana. I like snuggles, and it doesn’t matter if it’s with my dogs or my husband or my daughter. My son’s too old; he doesn’t want to snuggle anymore. He’s 27.
Coffee: I drink Bulletproof Coffee with foamed organic soy milk. A lot of people don’t know, but you get the caffeine that you need out of the first two to four sips of coffee. People just keep drinking it. I never finish a whole cup.
