Roger Bart has already trodden the boards in Back to the Future: The Musical in both New York and London.

But as he brings the hit, 1980s-set show to Australia, the Tony-winning Broadway star says he still “loves coming into work every day”.

“What I love the most about playing Doc Brown is the great sense of joy and optimism that he has about anything being possible,”

Roger, 63, told New Idea ahead of the musical’s opening night in Sydney on October 2. “It’s just so much fun. We've got fast cars, fire, we've got silly fire extinguishers...”
