As the audience hushes, acrobats Bridget Roberts, 74, and Vig Geddes, 76, step onto the stage and into the spotlight.

They begin balancing, tumbling and twisting their bodies in their latest acrobalance routine.

Fitter and stronger than many women half their age, the pensioners belong to Melbourne's Performing Older Women's Circus.

And despite Bridget enduring two hip replacements and Vig having some arthritis, they have no intention of calling time on the circus.
