A hands-on with the Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 AMD

If your work life is anything like mine—jumping between office writing sessions, quick outdoor research, video edits, client calls, and the occasional Netflix break—then you're probably also looking for a laptop that can keep up. I've been using the Lenovo Yoga 7 2-in-1 AMD for a few weeks now, and let me tell you: it’s shockingly light, transforms like a pro, and thanks to AMD's new Ryzen Al 7 350 processor, it's smarter than I expected.

First impressions: Lightweight means serious productivity

What caught my attention right away was how slim this laptop is—just around 16.6mm thick and weighing only about 1.3kg. I barely notice it in my bag, whether I'm commuting, heading to a café, or just moving around the house. It's compact, it's light, and it doesn’t slow me down.

The design also feels premium and polished, with a clean aluminum finish that’s both stylish and professional—perfect for any workspace.

Flip it, fold it: Flexible design and AI on demand

As part of the Yoga lineup, the 360° hinge is a given—and it’s one of my favorite features. I mostly use it in two modes: tent mode, which is perfect for watching shows at home, and tablet mode, especially handy when I'm working outdoors, like during my visits to the zoo.

For example, when I'm observing animal behavior and taking notes, I can just flip the laptop into tablet mode and use the stylus to jot things down instantly. The pen snaps magnetically onto the back of the screen, so it's easy to store and hard to lose.
