How to add lighting to a pergola

1 Before you begin, you need to make sure you have an external power supply within 5m of your pergola. If you don't have one, you'll need to call in a qualified electrician to install one for you.

2 For this project, you will need to buy a recessed LED decking light kit to fit the length of your pergola fascia board. If your fascia board is very long, you may need to buy multiple sets of connectable LED decking lights. You will also need a cordless combi drill fitted with a 24mm drill bit.

3 In order to add LED deck lights to the fascia board, you will need to remove the board to ensure you avoid any bolts when deciding where to position your light fittings.
