Vintage glass balls, homemade fabric candy canes, colourful garlands, bouquets with red amaryllis and wreaths of hydrangeas evoke magical memories of past Christmases for adults and children alike

Family traditions

At the front door, guests are welcomed into a very special Christmas atmosphere with a door wreath tied in the Christmas colours of deep red and blue. Colours that, for Sofie Amalie Rolandsen, are a must to create the perfect Christmas atmosphere she experienced as a child.

imageAlso, when Sofie Amalie created a special Advent wreath, her favourite Christmas colour, blue, had to be included. And when she creates her own floral creations from the red winterberries, they are placed in blue vases.

image“For as long as I can remember, blue has been part of the holidays in my family. While my mother set the table with Tranquebar porcelain, there was Blue Fluted porcelain on the dining table at my grandmother’s. That’s why I always combine the Christmas red with blue tones – those are just my Christmas colours,” she says.

imageSofie Amalie herself covers her Christmas table with a mix of different sets, such as Royal Creatures with its whimsical animal motifs on the classic half-lace set and the bright blue Rhombe Colour set. Again with the colour blue as the main guest.
