A New Narrative
Tatler Homes Singapore
|August - September 2022
2nd Edition drew inspiration from Singapore's vibrant history to design a series of showflats for the LIV @ MB condominium
-
With their colourful shophouses and eclectic mix of restaurants and boutiques, the dynamic enclaves of Joo Chiat, Katong and Marine Parade in Singapore's East Coast are sought after for their lively air and proximity to the sea. Naturally, these atmospheric neighbourhoods became a starting point for local design firm 2nd Edition when it was commissioned to design the show apartments of upcoming luxury condominium LIV @ MB, located at the site of the former Katong Park Towers development.
"The client wanted the design to embrace the theme of 'past, present, future' for the show units by incorporating the historical and cultural highlights of eastern Singapore with a modern twist," says design director Hilary Loh.
2nd Edition
Founded by design director Hilary Loh in 2005, the homegrown studio is known for crafting beautiful show units for luxury developments. Combining its expertise in spatial planning and custom furnishings with a keen attention to detail, the interiors that the firm designs are richly layered and tactile spaces that embody authenticity, style and functionality. Besides LIV @ MB, other recent projects by 2nd Edition include Ki Residences, as well as Park Colonial and Parc Komo.
