Those who have watched any of the five seasons of BBC's Poldark may feel a sense of familiarity when setting foot in Charlestown, Cornwall's historic Grade II-listed Georgian harbour. Nestled in the far corner, where the land meets the sea, is Pier House, a charming inn with sweeping views and 23 sumptuous bedrooms. But the seas haven't always been so smooth.
