The foyer leads to a thoughtfully designed living area, perfectly framing tranquil water views. The chair and pillows are by Lee Industries, the sofa is by Barbara Berry for Baker and the iron foyer light is vintage. The warm and welcoming foyer features durable flatweave carpets that complement the pine posts and beams.

Annapolis, Maryland, the state's capital founded in 1649, is known for its 18thcentury brick buildings, ranging from historic homes to stately structures, quaint seafood restaurants and maritime museums that stand as beacons along the city's bustling waterfront. That is the setting for this home, with its postand-beam architecture framing its traditional New England coastal style.

The owners, Dr. Brian and Mrs. Kerrie Sullivan, contacted Taylor Hart Design to add functionality to the home for their family as well as to incorporate hardworking materials, furnishings and other elements to provide the core components of simplicity, beauty and value. Deanna Gurri of Taylor Hart Design was the lead designer tasked with updating the 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home.
