CELEBRATING DECADES OF EXCEPTIONAL GEMSTONE SOURCING, DAVID MORRIS'S LEGACY OF COLOUR COLLECTION SHOWCASES RARE COLOURED DIAMONDS AND REMARKABLE GEMS THROUGH BOLD DESIGN, ARTISTIC FREEDOM AND REFINED HAUTE JOAILLERIE CRAFTSMANSHIP.

David Morris's Legacy of Colour: A High Jewellery Ode to Rare Gemstones and Creative Freedom

In the rarefied world of haute joaillerie, colour has long been a symbol of rarity, emotion and artistic expression. With its latest high jewellery collection, Legacy of Colour, London-based maison David Morris reaffirms its identity as a gemstone-led house, presenting a body of work that celebrates the world’s most exceptional coloured diamonds and rare gemstones through bold, contemporary design.

Unveiled in January 2026 during Haute Couture Week in Paris, the collection represents a defining moment for the house, bringing together decades of gemstone sourcing, creative experimentation and technical expertise. It is both a continuation of David Morris's historic gemstone legacy, and a reflection of its evolving creative vision under CEO and Creative Director Jeremy Morris.

At its core, Legacy of Colour is built on a simple, but powerful, philosophy: colour should lead the design. Rather than treating coloured gemstones as accents, David Morris places them at the centre of each creation, allowing their individuality, rarity and natural beauty to shape the artistic direction of every piece.

A HERITAGE ROOTED IN RARE GEMSTONES

Since its founding in 1962, David Morris has built its reputation on sourcing and working with exceptional gemstones, particularly rare coloured diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and rubies. This focus on gemstone excellence has remained the foundation of the house’s identity, even as its design language has evolved over the decades.

The Legacy of Colour collection draws heavily from this heritage. Many of the gemstones featured in the collection have been sourced and preserved over decades, forming part of the maison’s private inventory. These stones include historic discoveries, once-in-a-lifetime finds, and exceptional gems assembled through years of global sourcing.
