In the aftermath of World War Two, London is full of sinister secrets - and bookseller Gabriel Book (Mark Gatiss) has a habit of uncovering them in U&Alibi's new six-part drama Bookish.

'Postwar London is my favourite period,' says Mark, who also created the series. 'It's such an interesting time - the whole world has been turned upside down, and nobody knows their place any more. It's very exciting, but also kind of frightening.'
