Cary Grant was one of Tinseltown’s greatest stars, but ITVX’s biopic Archie explores how, despite his

fame, he struggled to find happiness. The four-part drama sees Jason Isaacs

play the debonair actor, who was born Archie Leach in Bristol in 1904. The ageing Cary goes on a tour of America in 1986, just before his death, and reflects on his poverty-stricken upbringing, during which his mother, Elsie (Kara Tointon), battled with mental health and he was rejected by his father, Elias (Henry Lloyd-Hughes).
