A romantic break to the south of France turns into a nightmare for an American tourist when her boyfriend disappears. This is the scenario at the heart of Vanished, a four-part Prime Video thriller starring The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco and Peaky Blinders actor Sam Claflin as archaeologist Alice Monroe and her British partner, Tom Parker, a humanitarian worker assisting refugees in the Middle East. Meeting up in Paris, the couple take a train to coastal city Arles, but things take a dark turn when Tom leaves their carriage to answer a phone call and doesn't return. Desperately concerned, Alice disembarks in Marseilles and finds herself joining forces with quirky journalist and fellow passenger Hélène Lando (French actor Karin Viard) in a bid to uncover the truth. However, as they unravel a dangerous web laced with devastating discoveries, did Alice really know Tom at all?
