PHIL SPENCER and KIRSTIE ALLSOPP on why their property show still has kerb appeal as it celebrates 25 years

A large wooden table adorned with a delightful display of daffodils in a pretty pot and laden with delicious-looking treats takes centre stage as TV Times enters Kirstie Allsopp's west London kitchen on an April afternoon.

Greeted warmly by her adorable Border terrier Dandelion, we've been invited round for an exclusive chat with the presenter and her fellow property guru Phil Spencer - who is happily tucking into a colourful rice salad accompanied by a hearty slice of quiche - as they prepare to mark 25 years of C4's ever-popular Location, Location, Location.

'We did a photo shoot for the anniversary a couple of weeks ago here in the kitchen,' smiles Kirstie, offering us a buttery cookie as she recalls posing for the beautiful snaps, which you can see here and on our cover. 'We had so much fun - the bunting was out and we had a big cake!'

This Wednesday sees a special evening of programmes on C4 to celebrate the milestone, starting at 8pm with the return of Location, Location, Location for an incredible 43rd series.

It'll be followed by 25 Years of Location, Location, Location (9pm), which sees the pair take a look at the major changes that have impacted the UK's property market over the years, Kirstie & Phil: Bleeps, Bloops & Best Bits (10pm), featuring never-seen-before out-takes, plus a chance to rewatch the first-ever episode (10.30pm).

Here, Kirstie, 53, and Phil, 55, who are both in fine form during our interview, take a trip down memory lane...

You were both working in the property sector when
