As TV prizes go, a charming castle nestled in the French countryside that features multiple bedrooms and a pretty orchard would be, for many of us, among the more appealing. And this is exactly what's up for grabs in C4's new competition Chateau DIY: Win the Dream, hosted by design expert Max McMurdo.

A spin-off from popular daytime show Chateau DIY, the 20-parter asks 12 British pairs to demonstrate their creativity, commercial flair and renovation know-how in a series of challenges to be in with a chance of winning, and then running, an historic property in the Orne region of north-west France.
