Fighting FRAUD

Rav Wilding is proud that his acclaimed BBC1 daytime show Scam Interceptors will again have an integral role in the BBC's annual Scam Safe campaign. 'I am passionate about disrupting scam activity and spreading the word to as many people as possible in order to keep them safe,' says the presenter and former police officer, 48. 'Scammers are ruthless and heartless criminals who are ruining people's lives, yet it's a crime we can massively reduce when armed with the correct information and knowledge.' Now in its third year, week-long Scam Safe will see tailored content across TV, radio and online to highlight how viewers can help protect themselves from becoming a victim of fraud. In four new episodes of Scam Interceptors, Rav, presenter Nick Stapleton and ethical hacker Jim Browning will showcase the strategies they use to incept fraudulent calls, while Monday's celebrity instalment sees Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, whose name and image was used to con people out of thousands of pounds, join the fight against scammers. Here, in an exclusive interview, Rav tells TV Times more...
