When a prison-transport plane crashes near a remote, peaceful Alaskan town, dozens of violent offenders escape into the snow-covered expanse, triggering mayhem in the local community.

Almost-retired US Marshal Frank Remnick (Catherine the Great's Jason Clarke) races to protect the residents he's vowed to keep safe. Meanwhile, CIA agent Sidney Scofield (The Magnificent Seven's Haley Bennett) arrives with her own agenda, focusing on one especially dangerous fugitive known as Havlock (The Gold's Dominic Cooper).
