WITH A NEW SHOW, CRUTCH, THE COMEDIAN IS FOCUSED ON FAMILY AND LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST

Tracy Morgan is famous for his decades of often outrageous comedy—but to him, his life revolves around spending time with his children. “That’s it, I don’t care about nothing else in this world,” says the dad of four, hopping on a Zoom interview just after returning from school pickup near his home in New Jersey. “I told my daughter the other day, ‘When you were born, I knew you were going to need me. I just didn’t know how much I was going to need you."

Morgan, who’s father to sons Gitrid, 39, Malcolm, 38, and Tracy Jr., 34, with ex-wife Sabina Morgan (who died of cancer in 2016), and daughter Maven, 12, with ex-wife Megan Wollover, is now merging family time with his work life. Maven makes a cameo on his new sitcom Crutch, streaming now on Paramount+. “She’s my greatest coactress,” he says, calling Maven over to the camera to say hello. “I think it’s fun,” Maven says of acting, pausing to give her dad a kiss before leaving.
