DETOUR TO SUCCESS

|June - July 2025
Ahead of the Mister Supranational 2025 pageant, Mr India Supranational 2025 SHUBHAM SHARMA tells us all about his journey to the top, his dreams and ambitions, and more.

From struggling with his career just three months earlier to clinching the Mr India Supranational 2025 title and preparing to win Mister Supranational 2025 - ‘surreal’ is the word Shubham Sharma says describes it best. Hailing from Mumbai, the city of dreams, this 24-year-old was on a different path before he stepped into the world of modelling.
“After completing my graduation in 2023, I wanted to join the Indian Army,” he reveals. “That motivation came after watching the 2004 movie Lakshya, but I had always wanted to do something for my country. So, I was in Dehradun for six months preparing for the Combined Defence Service (CDS) exams, came back to Mumbai for the Officers Training Academy (OTA) entrance exam, but I didn't clear it. After that, I started my career as a gym trainer, and lots of people used to ask me why I didn't give modelling and acting a try. I gave in and started modelling last year but wasn't getting enough work. And, then, in December, I got a message from the Mr India page saying they were scouting me.” The rest, as they say, is history. Shubham went on to win the coveted title of Mr India 2025 on his very first attempt. Fun fact: His dad was also into modelling, and he urged Shubham to take this path, confident that he had what it takes to succeed.
