Gitika Talukdar is a wellknown name in sports journalism, covering some of the most prestigious global sporting events. Her portfolio boasts coverage of the Women's FIFA World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand, the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2019 in France, the Russia FIFA World Cup 2018, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in London, the Indian Premier League series, the Commonwealth Games, and the South Asian Games.

Born and brought up in Assam, Gitika earned her master's degree in Sports Management from Seoul National University; she also received a scholarship from the Ministry of Sports, Republic of South Korea, in 2020.
