AJA DEBUTS UDC-4K AND IP25-R AT BI25, STREAMLINING BROADCAST WORKFLOWS

Tell us what AJA is bringing to BI25 this year — which new products or demos should visitors make sure to see, ‘and why?

At Broadcast India (BI) 2025, we'll be showcasing UDC- 4K and IP25-R, two new Mini-Converters that we announced in September. We'll also demo streaming and color management and conversion tools like BRIDGE LIVE and ColorBox.

UDC-4K is a must-see at BI. It addresses common interoperability challenges faced by many of our broadcast, production, and AV customers. You can use it to convert between 4K/UltraHD and 2K/HD, 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0, and frame rates, as well as for frame sync. For instance, if a broadcaster is working with 4K cameras but needs to deliver in HD, they can connect UDC-4Ks to the cameras to down-convert those feeds. Or, if'a production deploys a camera with an HDMI output but the signal must flow into an SDI device, UDC- 4K can perform HDMI to SDI conversion as well. It’s a versatile tool with an extensive range of conversion capabilities that let users accommodate different signal types and equipment across their workflows.

For facilities interested in or just starting to experiment with SMPTE ST 2110 in hybrid implementations, I'd suggest our new IP25-R gateway Mini-Converter. It bridges baseband and the latest IP infrastructures, and allows you to de-encapsulate ST 2110 video, audio, and ancillary data with frame-accurate sync for output to HDMI and 12G-SDI devices, whether for confidence monitoring, playout, or routing needs.

Our BRIDGE LIVE family of products will also be on display. These have become extremely popular for live video transport, IP conversions, and high-quality reliable streaming. Customers can use them to encode, decode, and transcode video in various formats for transport to another location or for direct-to-audience streaming over the public internet.
