We live in a world where information and content are consumed at an alarming rate, whether we're browsing through news sites or scrolling through our favourite social media platforms. Most of the time, we're somehow compelled to reshare what we see and read especially with the rise of TikTok and short-form video. It all seems very normal and acceptable, right? This, coupled with the after-effects of the pandemic and national lockdowns, loadshedding, killings, kidnappings - and occasional boredom - has got us all more than resharing than usual. But this isn't the problem; it's the countless hours we're spending on our devices, consuming excessive amounts of content that's detrimental to our well-being that is the real problem. Let's be honest, most of us are in fact guilty of this, especially now when it seems as though the whole world is spinning out of control.
