BRYAN KOHBERGER AVOIDS THE DEATH PENALTY WITH A PLEA DEAL

- Kylie Walters

I DAHO UNIVERITY MURDERS 'I'M GUILTY'

Inside a packed Latah County District Court on July 2, Bryan Kohberger admitted to the vicious murders of four college students at their off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho, in November 2022. Having insisted on his innocence for the past 30 months, the 30-year-old criminology student took back his not-guilty plea and confessed to ending the lives of Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Kaylee Goncalves and Madison Mogen.

After initially protesting his innocence, Kohberger has now confessed.

“Are you pleading guilty because you are guilty?” Judge Steven Hippler asked. “Yes,” Kohberger responded.

imageIn the early hours of November 13, 2022, flatmates Madison and Kaylee, both 21, and Xana, 20, were asleep at home. Xana's boyfriend, Ethan, 20, was lying beside her when Kohberger broke in through a glass sliding door.
