The Rise of the Competitive-Sex Trend - Inside the Lucrative OnlyFans Olympics

Adult content creator Bonnie Blue made waves when announcing in January that she had broken an all-time record by having sex with 1,057 men in 12 hours. The jaw-dropping effort quickly catapulted through OnlyFans, with other creators attempting to top her feat as part of a so-called “competitive sex” trend. In May, Australian star Annie Knight claimed to have been intimate with 583 men in six hours — a pace on track to beat Blue’s venture. “Doing 583 in a day is quite a lot, so I was a little bit worried that I was gonna really struggle with it,” Knight, 28, tells Us. “But it was honestly fine. I was shocked by how easy it was.”

What Is OnlyFans?

British businessman Tim Stokely (above) launched the platform in November 2016, allowing adult influencers and sex workers to monetize their content with fans directly. Leo Radvinsky, who founded adult streaming website MyFreeCams in 2004, bought OnlyFans in 2018 and is currently asking for as much as $8 billion for the platform, The Wall Street Journal reports. Today, more than 4 million creators are catering to 400 million worldwide users.

How Much Can Creators Make?

Racking up more than $1 million on OnlyFans is something 4,500-plus creators can put on their résumé. Content creator Sophie Rain, 20, claimed on X that she made more than $43 million in 2024, making her a top earner. The platform gets 20 percent of stars' earnings.
