“Every year, my family changes up the flavors of our Thanksgiving,” Padma Lakshmi says. “One year, our whole spread was inspired by Mexican flavors; the next year, we did Moroccan. One year, I really wanted to do a Chinese-influenced Thanksgiving, but I was struggling with how to do that beyond brushing soy sauce and five-spice powder on my turkey. This delicious old-school stuffing, adapted from my friend Meeling Wong’s, became the shining star of our feast.”

Rice ‘Stuffing’ With Chinese Sausage and Shiitake Mushrooms
