In a 2012 interview, a then 22-year-old Taylor Swift waxed poetic about what her future wedding might look like. “I want to build a life with someone that’s based on their dreams as well as my dreams,” she told Cosmopolitan magazine, explaining that she would want her groom to be equally involved in the planning process for their big day. “I don’t want it to just be like, ‘So, I have a scrapbook. In it, I put all the fabric swatches of the wedding dress I’m going to wear. I also have a tuxedo I picked out of a catalog that you’ll wear.’ I don’t want him to wonder if it even matters if he’s there.”

Her fiancé, Travis Kelce, has no doubt he matters. To the delight of fans, on Aug. 26, Travis and Taylor, both 35, announced their engagement after two years of dating in a joint Instagram post captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Now, a source tells Star that the “Karma” singer is ready to dive into wedding planning, and she’s thrilled that Travis wants to be equally involved.

Travis popped the question with an old mine brilliant- cut sparkler in August. In 2012 she predicted she'd have a "bunch" of kids with the right guy.
