THE last texts between a scumbag who faked his death and his then-wife have been revealed.

According to authorities, Ryan Borgwardt fled his family in Wisconsin to pursue a relationship with a woman in Europe he'd met online.

On Aug. 11, 2024, Borgwardt texted his then-wife Emily that he'd "snuck out on a lake" to catch the northern lights, according to documents filed by the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office.
