THE NEW ERA OF ROYALTY

Young and effervescent, they carry with them the mantle of being the next-gen royalty of India, keeping their legacies alive as they navigate contemporary times with finesse. Royal Fables, a heritage platform that showcases the craft, cultures and cuisine of princely India, brought six of these 20-something royals together for a photoshoot, overflowing with sumptuous fare, laughter and camaraderie.

“We salute young royals who are doing something meaningful with their craft, leaving big cities to keep the legacy alive,” says Anshu Khanna, Founder of Royal Fabes. “This shoot celebrates the legacy they are born with and strive to preserve.” HELLO! catches up with Kamalakshi Singh of Kangra, Chandni Kumari Singh of Seohara, Kartikeya Singh Rathore of Jodhpur-Marwar, Katyayini Singh of Khajurgaon, Richa Rajya Lakshmi from Danta, and Yaduveer Singh from Bera, as they share glimpses of their noble lives. A portrait of the next generation of Indian royalty.

Blue Blood

With ancestral links to the legendary Maharana Pratap of Mewar, one of India’s greatest warrior kings, Yaduveer has big boots to fill. “For me,” he says, “being a royal today is less about privilege and more about responsibility. My role, as I see it, is to transform heritage into living value.”

The Leopard Prince

Growing up in Bera meant wilderness to Yaduveer — leopards on the granite hills, crocodiles in the waters of the Jawai Dam, and birdsong that marked every sunrise. “My father and uncle were deeply connected to nature; that always inspired me. After completing my studies in hotel management, I returned home to work with the family and to host guests at Castle Bera,” says the Leopard Prince, as he’s fondly known.
