King Charles’s 20 th official visit to Canada — his first as sovereign - couldn't come at a better time

It's a momentous occasion - one that will go down in Canadian history. Making his first trip across the Atlantic since his 2022 accession, King Charles III returns to the place his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, called her “home away from home” — with his wife, Queen Camilla, by his side, and an important ceremonial duty to perform.

“Their Majesties The King and Queen will visit Canada on May 26 and 27, 2025,” Prime Minister Mark Carney announced just three weeks before their arrival, noting, “This historic honour matches the weight of our times.” Robert Finch, Dominion Chairman of The Monarchist League of Canada, couldn't agree more.
