The Prince of Wales shared a favourite joke from his daughter, Princess Charlotte, when he joined young mental health campaigners in the U.K.’s West Midlands region.
Prince William, 41, was recording a lighthearted segment for a school radio show, tackling the stigma around male mental health, when he was asked to join their “Dad Jokes” segment.
“I’m going to tell a joke, which is Charlotte’s favourite joke at the moment, which she tells me all the time,” said the prince, smiling.
“Knock knock,” he began.
“Who’s there?” asked the students.
“Interrupting cow,” replied William.
As soon as the youngsters started to say, “Interrupting cow who?” he interrupted with “Moooo!” making them all laugh.
“That’s a joke I hear a lot at the moment at home,” he told them. “That’s the greatest one I could think of. It’s clean and it’s broadcastable.”
The royal dad of three was at St. Michael’s Church of England High School to meet 12-year-old Freddie Hadley, who had issued an invitation to the future King on X (formerly Twitter) last October, asking if he would like to come and discuss the school’s Matrix Project and its #AmIManlyEnough campaign, which encourages men and boys to talk about their feelings.
