Queen Elizabeth's eldest grandchild, Peter Phillips, reveals the joyful news to Hello! that he's set to wed for a second time

Looking blissfully happy and gazing lovingly into each other's eyes, Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling have announced their engagement. The couple - who have been dating for just over a year - shared the news exclusively with Hello! earlier this month.

In a statement, Peter's spokesman, Gerard Franklin, said, "Mr. Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and Ms. Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr. Rupert Sanders and Mrs. Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their engagement.

"Both families were informed jointly and were delighted with the wonderful news. Their Majesties, the King and Queen, and the Prince and Princess of Wales have been informed. No date has been officially set for the wedding."

Hello! understands that Peter's daughters Savannah, 14, and Isla, 13 - and Harriet's 13-year-old daughter, Georgia, are all "delighted" about their engagement.
