YOUNG ONES BRING THE FUN

Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are beginning to show their more reflective sides but the pair still inject playfulness to royal events

Brimming with personality and fun, Prince Louis is the adored baby of the Wales family who delights royal fans with his antics at public events. At seven, Lou-Bug, as he is fondly nicknamed by his mother, remains as engaging as ever.

During a visit to the Women's Institute in September, one well-wisher asked the Prince of Wales whether his youngest was a “handful”. William smiled warmly and replied: “He’s a character, but he’s a very good boy.”

He and the Princess of Wales show what good parents they are in the way they channel their bouncy younger son’s energy. They chose Lambrook as their children's school partly because of the strong emphasis it places on sport. There, Louis has thrown himself into tag rugby, where his fearless approach has led Kate to joke: “He is kamikaze!”

Whenever they can, the couple head to their country home, Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where the children can get outdoors and appreciate the seasons.
